Bhudhanilkantha – Rau – Gosainkunda Trekking

As a new trekking route to Gosainkunda, the Bhudhanilkantha to Gosainkunda trek begins from Bhudhanilkantha via Shivapuri National Park; one of Nepal’s youngest national park which adjoins the capital city Kathmandu. Gosainkunda lake trek passes through dozens of holy lakes including Sagarkunda, Yeklekunda and Gosainkunda Lakes. In route, Manebhanjyang and Baghmara view points offers magnificent views of Rauchuli (4100m) and Jhyakumchuli (4500m). As an easy trekking destination, this forms a major part of Buddhist and Hindus pilgrimage trek attracting thousands of visitors to holy Gosainkunda Lake trekking during the full moon festival in August.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu,.Transfer to the hotel. Welcome dinner in the evening.

Day 02 : Half Day Sight seeing in Kathmandu and preparation for the trek.

Day 03 : Budhanilkantha (1400m.) – Alchhe (1790m.) – 4 hours

Day 04 : Alchhe (1790m.): - Manebanjyang (1780m.) - 5 hours

Day 05 : Manebanjyang (1780mt.) – Baghamara (1825 mt.) – 6 hours

Day 06 : Baghmara (1825mt.) – Sagarkunda ( 2915mt.) – 5:30 hours

Day 07 : Sagarkunda ( 2915mt.) – Yeklekunda (3800mt.) 07:00 hours

Day 08 : Yeklekunda (3800mt.) – Gosainkunda (4380mt.) 07:00 hours

Day 09 : Rest and Expliration around Gosainkunda

Day 10 : Return to Rahu (3785 m. and you can see the wide range of the landscape form including Kathmandu valley) from Gosainkunda

Day 11 : Rahu to Kalche (typical Nepalese settlement by Tamang tribe)

Day 12 : Kalche to Nuwakot (Historical place of Nepal) - 3 hours walk then drive Back to KTM

Day 13 : Sight seeing around the ancient city Bhaktapur and farewell dinner in the evening

Day 14 : Depart from hotel and transfer to the airport for your international flight
